Short notice / Elopement Locations:

Panera Bread has many locations available for a quick get-together for a ceremony.  The Panera at Belden Village was the setting for a recent ceremony where the bride and groom brought only one family member.

Many of the locations listed below would work for short notice ceremonies, or those with longer term planning.

Banquet Halls / Reception Site - This eliminates travel for the wedding party and guests.

Heritage Oaks Banquet Center in Sebring is convenient to Alliance, Salem, Damascus, Homeworth and Deerfield.

SYB Party Center in Stow is a lovely, convenient location - with plenty of indoor space for your ceremony and reception.

Occasions Party Centre in Clinton OH was the location for a wedding in April.  The couple chose one of the gazebos as a lovely ceremony site!

La Pizzeria Ristorante & Banquet Center in Canton OH has several banquet rooms, including the beautiful new crystal ballroom.

Lakeside Banquet & Meeting Center in Navarre OH is a beautiful setting with both indoor and outdoor ceremony options.

Diamond Event Center & Catering in Brunswick OH has facilities for any size gathering.

Guy’s Party Centre in Akron has three different ballrooms available.

Country Clubs/Golf Clubs - will often rent space to non-members.

The Quarry Golf Club in East Canton has both indoor and outdoor space for ceremonies.

Willowdale Lake Country Club on 241/Wales in the North Canton/Jackson Township area was the site of a recent wedding with the ceremony held outside at the gazebo, and the reception inside the hall.

Ohio Prestwick Country Club and Raintree Country Club in Uniontown both offer picturesque settings.

Garden Centers - The Canton Garden Center has many beautiful settings for weddings.  The Tree House is a fun spot, and the fountain is also close by for a different backdrop. Holden Arboretum in Kirtland OH is another location with beautiful gardens and friendly staff that help make the day so enjoyable.

Mohican Gardens in Loudonville provides a unique venue in a country setting with both indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremony/reception.

Historical Sites - Some creative couples find places such as lighthouses and museums to be the right place for their ceremonies.

The O’Neil House in Akron is an opulent mansion, providing storybook settings for a ceremony.

The Akron Art Museum provides a dramatic flair for ceremonies on the grand staircase, with plenty of room for guests to mingle and enjoy the displays.

The Massillon Women’s Club is an elegant setting for a ceremony and reception.

Do you share a passion for antique automobiles or airplanes?  The Crawford Auto Aviation Museum in Cleveland’s University Circle provides an intriguing setting.

Josaphat Arts Hall in Cleveland is a new arts facility with hall rental in a historical building that was once the St. Josaphat Catholic Church.

Hotels - With plenty of space for out of town guests, and facilities for larger groups, this could be a great place for both your ceremony and reception.  Many couples I’ve worked with have found the Wedding Specialists at The Sheraton Akron/Cuyahoga Falls to be most helpful!

Parks - City, township, or state parks make lovely settings.       Akron/Canton area:

Price Park in North Canton has been a common setting for weddings, with a gazebos and pavilions.  Right across the street is another gazebo at the Civic Center.

North Canton’s Dogwood Park shelter held the costumed guests for a fun Halloween wedding last year.

Quail Hollow State Park in Hartville has many lovely outdoor areas for ceremonies, and a lovely indoor “plan B” space as well.  Dedicated volunteers keep this location in great condition. Call Paula at 330-571-0240 to schedule your event.

      Youngstown area:

Boardman Park’s chapel was the setting for a beautiful November wedding.    Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Metropark in Youngstown is a lovely location.

Atwood Lake Park and the Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center have lovely locations and facilities for weddings.

       Mansfield/Richland County:

Mt. Gilead State Park provided both a Gazebo and Pavilion for a crisp October wedding.   Convenient lodging was nearby at the welcoming Hope Cabins and Banquet (also a lovely location for weddings and receptions).

Private Homes - Some couples choose to marry at the family home or the home of friends.

Proposal site - Some couples prefer to have their ceremony at the location of the proposal.

Public Landmarks - The steps of the McKinley Monument  in Canton provides a dramatic backdrop for ceremonies.

Restaurants - Some have large private banquet rooms that can accommodate various sized gatherings.  The Hartville Kitchen’s banquet room was the scene of a lovely wedding in December.  No need to supply decorations, as the entire building was already spruced up for the holiday season.

Mapleside Farms & Restaurant in Brunswick is a picturesque location for outdoor ceremonies with convenient dining close by.

Vacation Destinations - A lovely getaway spot in Amish Country is Country Cottage and Gardens .  Mineral City is the location for the cottages and gardens that provide a special atmosphere for both intimate and large gatherings.   It’s been my experience that Innkeeper Carolene creates an enchanted atmosphere while Chef Eric’s culinary skills will provide an unforgettable gourmet meal.

For a fun-filled wedding adventure, both small and large parties have enjoyed a ceremony and reception at

Kalahari Resorts - Sandusky.   While for the most adventurous couples - a ceremony on board one of the roller coasters at Cedar Point might be more appropriate!  For those who find the roller coasters a bit much, but still love the atmosphere of the amusement parks, a beautiful carousel wedding could be more your style.

Landoll’s Mohican Castle is a romantic location with several settings for ceremonies, including woodlands, the elegant/fairy tale castle rooms and more.

Perhaps you have something in mind that’s more on the “wild side” at The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

Wineries - Northeast Ohio’s wineries have been the settings for some lovely weddings in the past few years.  The Mastropietro Winery in Berlin Center, Gervasi Vineyard & Italian Bistro in Canton, ThornCreek Winery in Aurora and Perennial Vineyards in Navarre have been the locations of choice for some of my couples.

Local Raceways, Golf Clubs and Sports Centers

The Ohio Sportsmen Club in Copley is a location one couple used for a wedding with only two weeks preparation time.

Skyland Pines in Canton provides space for ceremonies and receptions that will fit both small and large gatherings.
